    La existencia de un paso natural abierto por el río Purón ha sido el factor atrayente para que desde el Paleolítico Medio, la zona de Valderejo en el Oeste alavés, haya sido testigo del paso de numerosas culturas, que han dejado sus huellas en diferentes tipos de manifestaciones, tanto del hábitat como rituales. Del Paleolítico Medio destacamos la existencia de una cantera de sílex natural y un taller en el mismo lugar. Del Holoceno destacamos la existencia de pinturas rupestres, así como todo el fenómeno megalítico localizado.

    Hallazgo de hábitat de la Edad del Bronce en cuevas y de poblados de la Edad del Hierro y Romanización.

    También destacamos la localización de un nuevo fenómeno integrado en el mundo eremítico como son las cruces grabadas en la roca.

    Puron ibaian irekitako pasabide natural bat egotea, faktore erakargarria izan da, Erdi Paleolitikotik, Valderejoko eremua, Arabako mendebaldean, bertatik pasatu diren kultura anitzen lekukoa izan dadin. Kultura horiek guztiek aztarnak utzi dituzten azalpen-mota askotan, bai ingurumenean, bai erritoetan. Erdi Paleolitikoari dagokionez, silex naturalaren harrobi bat eta ¿toki berean¿ lantegi bat daude. Holozenoari dagokionez, ordea, labar-pinturak eta bertan aurkitutako fenomeno megalitikoa aipa ditzakegu. Brontze Aroko habitat bat, kobazuloetan, eta Burdin Aroko eta Erromanizazioko herrixkak aurkitu dira.

    Halaber, eremutarren munduan sartzen zen fenomeno berri bat, haitzean grabatutako gurutzeak hain zuzen, aurkitu direla azpimarratu nahi dugu.

    The existence of a natural way opened by the river Puron has been the attracting factor for making the Valderejo area in the west of Alava, since the Middle Paleolithic, a witness of the numerous civilisations who left their traces in different types of manifestations, both in the habitat and in the ritual expressions. As regards the Middle Paleolithic, we point out the existence of a natural flint quarry and a workshop in the same place.

    Regarding the Holocene period, we emphasise the existence of cave paintings, as well as all the megalithic phenomena observed. Discovery of a Bronze Age habitat in caves and settlements of the Iron Age and the Romanisation.

    We also highlight the localisation of a new phenomenon related to the hermit world as are the crosses engraved on the stone.
