    La pregunta que inició esta reflexión puede expresarse brevemente en los siguientes términos: ¿Es posible pensar lo religioso más allá de las categorías de lo sagrado y lo profano? ¿Cómo? El siguiente texto hace un análisis de es dichas categorías tratando de mostrar cómo y por qué comienzan a ser problemáticos y además insuficientes. Está fuera de duda que la posibilidad de pensar lo religioso más allá de las categorías de lo sagrado y lo profano requiere una profunda reinterpretación. Esto implica pasar de una visión mágica que toma las palabras como cosas a una visión histórica y exitensialmente responsable, esto es, una visión que no permita al hombre evadir la realidad de este mundo —que es el único que le ha sido dado- y lo interpela de tal modo que no puede evadirlo con la escusa de cultivar el más allá. ¿cómo es el lenguaje que expresa la experiencia religiosa? Este es el punto de partida y la clave par una investigación.

    The question that initiated this reflection can be put briefly in these tercos: Is it possible to think the religious beyond the categories of sacred and profane? How? The following text makes an analysis of these categories trying to show how and why they begin to be problematic and furthermore insufficient. Is out of any doubt that the possibility of thinking the religious beyond the categories of sacred and profane requiresa deep reinterpretation . This implies passing from a magical vision that takes words as things to an existential, historic and responsible vision, i.e., wich does not allow man to evade this world's reality —which is the only one that has been given to him— and claims to him in such a way he can not avoid with the excusee of cultivating the beyond. How is the language that expreses religious experience? This is the start point and the key for an investigation.
