    La implicación del Abrigo de Laja Alta (Jimena de la Frontera, Cádiz), donde aparecen las representaciones rupestres de barcos, con la costa se ha establecido a través del control visual sobre la Bahía de Algeciras y a través de la navegación por el río Guadiaro. Ambas formas de relación están basadas en la interpretación del registro simbólico. El estudio geomorfológico de esta cuenca estuarina holocena y de su evolución deltáica reciente nos permiten confirmar y matizar el papel activo de esta vía de comunicación entre el interior serrano y la paleocosta, reconstruida ésta como resultado de la investigación. En términos cronológicos esta paleocosta forma parte del escenario de las representaciones rupestres: su morfología era estable en plena Edad del Bronce y se mantiene en los inicios de la Edad del Hierro hasta ca. el siglo V a.C.

    The implication of the Shelter of Laja Alta (Jimena de la Frontera, Cádiz), where they appear the rock representations of boats, with the coast has been settled down through visual control on the Bay of Algeciras and through of navigation by the Guadiaro river. Both forms of relation are based on the interpretation of the symbolic registry. The geomorphologyc study of this holocene estuarine river basin and its recent deltaic evolution allows us to confirm and to clarify the active paper of this communication channel between the mountain interior and paleocosta, reconstructed this one like result of the investigation. In chronological terms this paleocoast comprises of the scene of the rock representations: its morphology was stable in the heat of Bronze Age and stays in the beginnings of the Iron Age until V century a.C.
