    Instead of seeking a development model that can combine industrial development and social infrastructures that are worthy of that name, the Indian Government has been supporting and stimulating the process of land expropriation. The autochthonous lands conceal enormous natural wealth - unfortunately for their traditional inhabitants, as this wealth attracts foreign interests. Three process by which the autochthonous lands are being expropriated are studied:

    deforestation, the uprooting of populations and the plundering or property transferral of individual land. What they have in common is the powerlessness of the indigenous people and the dominance of a development model that aims at building a physical and industrial infrastructure that is detrimental to a sizeable number of citizens.     Au lieu de chercher un modele de développement a meme de combiner développement industriel et infrastructures sociales dignes de ce nom, le gouvemement d 'In de soutient et stimule le processus d' expropriation fonciere. Les territoires autochtones recelent d' immenses richesses naturelles, aux dépens de leurs habitants traditionnels car cela les rend attractifs pour les acteurs extérieurs.

    Le processus d' expropriation des terres autochtones repose sur trois mécanismes distincts mais complémentaires. Le premier est la déforestation, le second le déplacement et le troisieme la spoliation ou le transfert de propriété des terres individuelles. Leurs points communs sont l 'impuissance des autochtones et la prépondérance d'un modele de développement destiné a construire une infrastructure physique et industrie lle au détriment d 'une partie des citoyens.
