  Panorámica sobre la presencia de estudiantes del País Vasco, Navarra y Rioja en las universidades de la Corona de Castilla durante la Edad Moderna, siglos XVI-XVIII. A través de los estudios de Derecho, estos universitarios se promocionaban hacia los altos cargos burocráticos del Estado y de la Iglesia, constituyendo un grupo muy destacado y significativo en el sistema administrativo de la Monarquía Hispánica. Se tratan aspectos diversos de dichos estudiantes: vida cotidiana, cuantías, procedencias, clientelas, promociones y cargos conseguidos.

  An overview of the Presence of Students from the Basque Country, Navarra and Rioja in the Universities of the Crown of Castile during the Modern Age, 16th to 18th Centuries. Through studying Law these students were able to move up to the higher bureaucratic offices of the State and Church, forming a very significant and outstanding group within the administrative system of the Spanish monarchy. Different aspects relating to these students are discussed: daily life, numbers, origin, clientele, promotions and offices obtained.
