Resumen de Globalización, industria tradicional y territorio en Castilla-La Mancha

  El artículo analiza la marcha reciente de los sectores industriales tradicionales en Castilla-La Mancha, especialmente afectados por el aumento de la competencia internacional (Textil y Confección, Calzado, y Madera y Mueble). Se pretende con ello ofrecer una panorámica a escala regional, en la que inscribir los diferentes estudios monográficos sobre sistemas productivos locales de la región. El estudio, que combina el análisis cuantitativo de las principales fuentes estadísticas publicadas y el trabajo mediante técnicas cualitativas (encuesta y entrevistas semiestructuradas), confirma la intensa reestructuración de los sectores, destacando el esfuerzo en innovación e internacionalización de algunas empresas, así como de coordinación entre los actores socio-institucionales.

  The article reviews the current development of traditional manufacturing sectors in Castilla-La Mancha, especially affected by the increasing international competition (Manufacture of Textiles and Wearing apparel, Footwear, and Wood and Furniture). With this work we try to offer a regional overview for previous study cases carried out in some local productive systems of the region. Our study, based on both the quantitative study of published statistical data and the qualitative approach (through a survey and several interviews), would confirm the intense sectoral restructuring. In this sense, it is evident the enterprises¿ efforts on the internalization and technological innovation strategies, as well as the coordination attends between actors in the socio-institutional context.
