Resumen de La música en la corte de Enrique IV de Castilla (1454-1474): una aproximación institucional y prosopográfica

  En este artículo se analiza desde una perspectiva fundamentalmente prosopográfica la dinámica musical en la corte de Enrique IV de Castilla (1454-1474) haciendo, a su vez, especial hincapié en el papel social, artístico e institucional que los músicos desempeñaron dentro del complejo entramado de los servidores áulicos. Aquellos años, tan inestables en lo político, asistieron, sin embargo, a un desarrollo excepcional del mecenazgo regio en materia de musica. El propio monarca, en consonancia, sin duda, con otros príncipes humanistas de su tiempo, vio en esta actividad no sólo la culminación material de sus sensibilidades culturales, sensibilidades despertadas y formadas en la corte de su padre, el Rey Juan II, sino que también fue un magnífico escaparate en el que mostrar ante la atenta mirada de sus súbditos y los demás reinos peninsulares y extranjeros un esplendor en perfecta consonancia con el inexorable afianzamiento del poder que por entonces las diferentes monarquías comenzaban a asumir en la Europa de finales del Medievo.

  In this article musical dynamics in the court of Enrique IV of Castile is analyzed from a fundamentally prosopographic perspective (1454-1474) doing, as well, special emphasis in the social paper, artistic and institutional that the musicians carried out within the built the framework for complex of the aulic servants. Those years, so unstable in the politician, they attended, nevertheless, to an exceptional development of the regal patronage in the matter of music. The own monarch, in consonance, without a doubt, with other princes humanists of its time, it saw in this activity not only the material culmination of his of its cultural sensitivities, sensitivities waked up and formed in the court of its father, the king Juan II, but that also it was a magnificent showcase in which to show before the watched letter of its subjects and the other peninsular and foreign kingdoms a splendor in perfect parallelism with the inexorable reinforcement of the power that at that time the different monarchies began to assume in the Europe of end of the Middle Ages.
