Resumen de Marañon y la JAE-CSIC: Un caso atípico

En este artículo se presenta la atípica relación de Gregorio Marañón con la JAE y el CSIC. Por un lado, se expone cómo su trayectoria científica tiene un desarrollo paralelo al de la JAE en sus objetivos y acciones, sin estar vinculado directamente a esta institución. Y por otro lado, aunque no compartía los principios que inspiraron el CSIC, en los últimos años de su vida, Marañón fue designado presidente del Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas.

This article presents the uncommon relationship between Gregorio Marañón both with the JAE and the CSIC. On the one hand, it puts forward how his scientific course has a parallel development to that of the JAE in means of its aims and actions, without being directly bound up with this institution. On the other hand, even though he did not share the principles that inspired the CSIC, in the last years of his life, Marañón was appointed Chairman of the Centro de Investigaciones Científicas.
