Los orígenes de la exhibición cinematográfica en Sevilla a través de la prensa

    La prensa local diaria de Sevilla entre 1896 y 1906 se convierte en instrumento de indudable utilidad para el estudio y conocimiento de la llegada del cinematógrafo a la ciudad, su aceptación e implantación. Las informaciones al respecto, aunque aparecen dispersas y sin sistematizar, garantizan cronologías, títulos de películas junto a otros aspectos. Los datos obtenidos, al margen de particularidades locales, revelan que la realidad sevillana no difiere de otras. Se destacan y comentan siete artículos representativos que tratan la evolución de la fotografía hasta el cinematógrafo, el "enfrentamiento" de cine y teatro, la primera huelga de la industria en Sevilla, la política de algunos empresarios exhibidores y las informaciones de dos espacios -Salón Gaumont y Salón Imperial- en 1906.

    The Sevillian diary press from 1896 to 1906 becomes an important instrument to study and know of the arriving of the cinematograph to Seville, its acceptance and implantation. Although the press informations about cinema are scattered and disordered, chronologies, titles of films and others aspects are warranted. Despite of local aspects, the facts obtained, reveal that the Sevillian reality wasn¿t different from others. Seven representative articles are commented: the photography evolution to the cinematograph, the confrontation between theatre and cinema, the first strike of exhibition industry in Seville, the customs of some managers and the information about two representative places in 1906: Salón Gaumont and Salón Imperial.
