La clasificación de las rocas sedimentarias se hace actualmente algo penosa de aprender para los alumnos; y esto, tanto por la multitud de términos que hay que manejar, como por la variedad de criterios existentes y los cambios en los entornos de valores para el mismo criterio. En esta nota se ofrece una clasificación homogénea y coherente de los materiales sedimentarios, y una secuencia progresiva para que el aprendizaje resulte lo más adecuado posible al nivel correspondiente.

The classification of sedimentary rocks is nowadays quite hard for students to learn. This is due to the great amount of terminology they need to handle as well as to the variety of existing criteria and the changes in the set of values for the same criteria. In this paper it is offered a homogeneous and coherent classification of sedimentary materials and a progressive sequence so that the learning results as suitable as possible to the corresponding level.
