    Este estudio trata de la formalidad, la solemnidad y la fiesta celebrada al comienzo de un reinado en las ciudades, las villas y los lugares del reino a través del caso de Carmona a lo largo de medio milenio, desde la jura del heredero y la proclamación del rey de Castilla a fines del siglo XIV hasta la proclamación y jura del rey de España a fines del XIX. Analiza el ceremonial y describe las ceremonias llevadas a cabo en cada caso: la noticia, los diputados, el día y la hora, la comitiva, el itinerario y el acto esencial de levantar el pendón. El arte efímero y los regocijos a que dieron lugar, así como el medio de pagarlas.

    Covering five hundred years of history and using Carmona as an example, this paper deals with the formalities and solemn ceremonies that took place in all the cities, towns and boroughs of the kingdom at the beginning of each new reign from the 14 th century oath of loyalty to the throne's heir and his proclamation as king of Castile to the proclamation and pledge to the king of Spain at the end of the 19 th century. It describes the ceremonial and events that were carried out in each case: the announcement, the delegates, the date, the retinue, the itinerary and the main ceremony to display the royal banner. The ephemeral art and festivities relating to these events, as well as their means of payment are also dealt with.
