    El derecho romano es la más antigua de las disciplinas universitarias: aparecía en los planes de estudio de las Universidades del Imperio romano de Oriente y con ella se inició el Studium Generale de Bolonia, la más antigua Universidad europea occidental, en el siglo XI. En este artículo se introduce la cuestión del problema de su investigación y docencia en el ámbito de la Universidad de Sevilla.

    The Roman Law is the oldest course of study in the University, it appears in the study´s system in the Universities of the Oriental Roman Empire and in this way it was born the Studium generale of Bolonia, the most ancient Western Europe University, in the XI century in this essay the the author introduces the question of its investigation and teaching´s troubles in the area of the University of Seville.
