Trazando cambios en la estructura silábica del euskara

    : Los estudios diacrónicos del euskera han avanzado considerablemente en los últimos años (vid. Lakarra 1995, 1998, 2002, entre otros). La reconstrucción del protovasco ha sido llevada a cabo mayormente por Michelena ([1961, 1977] 1990), siendo éste el autor más reconocido por los estudiosos de la lengua. Ahora, los estudios de Lakarra han ahondado en profundidad el tema. Esta comunicación tratará sobre un tema que parece haber cambiado a través del tiempo y que todavía no se refleja directamente en las investigaciones recientes: la estructura silábica. Por un lado, se presentarán los cambios observados en la estructura silábica desde el proto-vasco al vasco actual; y por otro lado, se trazará la hipotética estructura silábica del estadio reconstruido por las investigaciones recientes. Para ello, el estudio se basará en la tipología holística propuesta por Donegan y Stampe (1983, 2004).     Recently, diachronic studies about the Basque language have increased considerably (cf. Lakarra 1995, 1998, 2002, among others). Mitxelena is the main author in the reconstruction of proto-Basque ([1961, 1977] 1990), and now Lakarra has made a profound study of the subject. This paper deals with an element that must have changed during the time, but has not been directly studied in recent studies: syllable structure. We are first going to speak about the changes in the syllable structure from the proto-Basque period to the Basque of nowadays. Then, we are going to sketch the hypothetic syllable structure of the stage of the language that the recent investigations have reconstructed. The holistic typology proposed by Donegan and Stampe (1983, 2004) is a solid base in the paper. The main goal of the paper is to contribute to the reconstruction of Basque, from the point of view of the phonology.
