Resumen de Crisis de la teoría y prosperidad del comparatismo en los estudios literarios

En el artículo se abordan algunos aspectos de las relaciones entre la teoría de la literatura y la literatura comparada en sus vertientes institucionales y disciplinares, referidas especialmente al ámbito hispánico, tomando como punto de partida determinadas propuestas de Claudio Guillén. Como muestra de la relación entre la teoría y el comparatismo literarios se revisa la recepción que en cada caso han tenido dos modelos de estudio literario como son la teoría de los polisistemas por un lado y las relaciones entre oralidad y escritura por otro, concluyendo así que la literatura comparada muestra una disposición más abierta que la teoría de la literatura en lo que respecta a la incorporación de nuevos modelos de estudio literario.

In this essay, I deal with some aspects of the relationship between Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, taking as a starting point some proposals of Claudio Guillén regarding this topic. Both Literary theory and Comparative Literature have been considered here in their institutional and disciplinary facets, and particularly referred to the Hispanic scope. As an example of such relation, I look at the reception in Spain of two models of Literary Studies: on the one hand the Polysystem Theory and, on the other, the relationship between orality and literacy. The conclusion to which I arrive is that Comparative Literature seems to be more receptive to Literary Theory with regard to the incorporation of new models of literary studies.
