It is undeniable the essential Christological character that dominates the current Ritual of the Consecration of Virgins and also that, only at first sight, it seems to relegate to a second plane its pneumatological dimension. However, a detailed reading and, mainly, a deep attention to the language, to the expressions and to other realities of the celebration, will help us verify the pneumatological substratum present in this Ritual. This study seeks to shed light on those pneumatological contents of the Ritual that are perceived only starting from a detailed analysis of the development of the ceremony, of the rubrics and of the texts.
