    El coreano y el japonés son dos idiomas pertenecientes a dos países muy cercanos y a la vez enormemente alejados en su historia reciente. Japón y Corea han representado durante muchos años el antagonismo en Asia. Las ambiciones coloniales de Japón sobre Corea han sido notables durante toda su historia, y ya en el s. XX Japón consiguió su ansiada ambición sobre el control político y cultural de Corea. Durante este período, el coreano estuvo a punto de desaparecer por la presión que los japoneses ejercían sobre Corea. Pero éste es tan sólo uno de los más recientes episodios históricos que nos hablan de la relación entre el coreano y el japonés,... (Leer más) pues la relación entre los dos idiomas se remonta mucho más atrás en el tiempo. Este artículo pretende una aproximación, más histórica que lingüística, a la evolución de ambos idiomas.

    Korean and Japanese are two languages of two very close countries and, at the same time, heavily confronted due to their historic and political relation. Japan and Korea have represented for a long time the antagonism in Asia, and Japan�s colonial ambitions over Korea were fulfilled at the beginning of the 20th century, when it took political and cultural control over Korea for over three decades. During the colonial period, the Korean language, one of the few known languages linked to the Japanese language for its grammar and historical evolution similarities, was about to disappear due to the cultural pressure imposed by Japan. This article aims to make a historical approach analysis of to the evolution of both Japanese and Korean languages.
