Resumen de Función y significado de la figura grotesca en "The Birthday of the Infanta"
We have written this article with a double purpose. First, we wanted to find Oscar Wilde's own intention in writing this tale by analysing how and why he has made so lavish a use of the grotesque in it. And at the same time we have tried to prove that, as the author constantly claimed, there may be more than one answer to these questions depending on the readers' viewpoint, or the way they focus their own study.
