Resumen de Una experiencia de intervención en infancia y adolescencia: los servicios comprehensivos

  Existe una necesidad creciente en el ámbito de la infancia y la adolescencia de coordinar y optimizar los abordajes de intervención, dado que un porcentaje importante de estos niños y adolescentes, y sus familias, son usuarios de varios servicios públicos, como los educativos, psicológicos, sociales, sanitarios, etc. Aunque formalmente se reconoce la necesidad de integración de los diferentes dispositivos sanitarios y no sanitarios, en la práctica la oferta de servicios comprehensivos sigue siendo escasa, exceptuando quizás las intervenciones existentes en la cultura anglosajona en adolescentes con trastornos graves de conducta, especialmente tras-torno disocial, y problemas legales. Este trabajo se centra en la experiencia desarrollada en la Unidad de Salud Mental de la Infancia y la Adolescencia (USMIA) del Departamento 10 de la Conselleria de Sanidad, ubicada en el Centro de Salud de Catarroja. Mediante la coordinación de los distintos profesionales y dispositivos de atención a niños y adolescentes (Psicopedagogos Escolares, Psicólogos Municipales, Atención Primaria Pediátrica, USMIA, Servicios Sociales, Servicio de Atención a la Familia y la Infancia (SEAFI), etc.) se ha conseguido realizar una intervención multidisciplinar, optimizando el tiempo de diagnóstico, y ofreciendo tratamientos integrados, así como planificar e intervenir de modo conjunto en pacientes multiproblemáticos, todo ello con el objetivo de atender todas las necesidades de los menores y no duplicar o solapar la asistencia. Asimismo se han iniciado varias líneas de investigación de modo conjunto.

  There is an increasing need in the areas concerning children and adolescents in order to coordinate and optimize the approach to their treatment interventions. Al-though the need for the integration of the different health and non-health departments has been formally recognized, due to the high percentage of these children, adolescents and their families who are users of various public services such as the educational, psychological, social and health services, etc., In practice the offer of comprehensive services continues to be scarce. The exception perhaps being the existent treatment in the Anglo-Saxon culture which deals with adolescents with serious behavioural disorders, especially antisocial disorders and judicial problems. This work is based on the experience and its development in the Child and Ado-lescent's Mental Health Unit (USMIA) situated in the Health Centre in Catarroja, belonging to Department 10 of the Regional Health Ministry. With the coordination of the distinct professionals and the child and adolescent units (School Psycho-pedagogue, Municipal Psychologists, Primary Care Paediatrics, USMIA, Social Ser-vices, Family and Infancy Assistance Service (SEAFI), etc.), a multidisciplinary treatment has been carried out, optimizing the time of diagnostics and offering integrated treatments. Also planning and supervising the participation in a coordinated way with multi-problematic patients, all of this with the aim of meeting the needs of the minors and not duplicating or overlapping the assistance. In the same way various lines of investigation have been started in a combined way.
