    En este artículo se plantea y analiza el tema de los derechos de los pueblos originarios en América latina, considerando una perspectiva de antecedentes históricos y jurisprudenciales, además de documentos de la Iglesia Católica, hasta llegar a nuestra realidad contemporánea. En esta última perspectiva se analiza el régimen jurídico de protección de los derechos indígenas en la Constitución Política y el derecho público vigente en Argentina.

    In this article, the topic of the rights of the native people in Latin America is stated and analyzed, considering an outlook of legal and historical backgrounds and Roman Catholic Church documents until arriving at out contemporary reality. In this final outlook, the judicial regime of protection of the indigenous rights in the Political Constitution and the current public law in Argentina are analyzed.
