El populismo y lo sublime

    La mayoría de los textos sobre el populismo ha partido del supuesto que este tipo de experiencia política tiene una especificidad que le es propia y que la define por contraposición a otro tipo de lógica política. Así han proliferado una vasta gama de definiciones sobre el populismo hasta el punto en que algunos autores han proclamado su total inviabilidad teórica y su inutilidad empírica. Esto es precisamente lo que en este trabajo se intenta rebatir. Para esto se coloca al populismo en una dimensión más amplia, la dimensión de lo sublime, y se trata de mostrar hasta que punto en ejemplos específicos de procesos de identificación populista, como fue el peronismo en Argentina, el tipo de subjetividad que emerge puede ser explicada a partir de la lógica de lo sublime.

    The purpose of this paper is to analyze the nature of the contemporary Cuban regime. It is not meant to be a mere retrospective or academic exercise. The regime (in the past and nowadays) is the starting point for any future development and will condition both the possibilities and direction of the political evolution of the country. Part I in this paper deals with what we believe was the failed Cuban transition to post-totalirianism at the beginning of the 90s. Part II examines the nature of the changes undergone by the regime and society during 90s, what makes us characterise the regime as "charismatic and early post-totalitarian" in the most recent period. The conclusion analyzes what this characterization implies for the change of regime and the future after Castro.
