The article revises and analyzes deputy José Ignacio Beye Cisneros' performance, who attended the Cadiz courts as representative of Mexico City town council. It is shown, through this specific case, that there was no linear and homogeneous performance in the American legislators behavior, but each one defended particular interests and positions. Thus, it is studied his position related to independent struggles in America and the forums Beye Cisneros used to make his ideas known.
