La construcción del territorio entre iberos y celtíberos

  • Cuatro documentos muy diversos - la iconografía del "cálato del arado", el mito de Gárgoris y Habis, el análisis territorial de la antigua Edeta y la etnografía peninsular de Diodoro -, muestran idéntica concepción del territorio. Partiendo del poblado/capital, se pasa por la campiña agrícola y en la periferia está el territorio de guerra o caza. Se compara el proceso mental subyacente en lo anterior con concepcion;,s espaciales elaboradas por filósofos griegos poniéndose de relieve la calidad del proceso intelectivo identificado. Por último, se contextualiza la relación entre territorio y sociedad señalada en el marco de la herencia indoeuropea y se propone una hipótesis doble para interpretar la escenografía del cálato del arado. Para los iberos sería un reflejo intelectual del territorio en que viven, para los celtas la versión icónica de un mito pancéltico de creación del territorio. ABSTRACT The same conception of terntory appears in four very different documents: the iconography of the "kalathos' plough", the myth of Gárgoris and Habis, the study of ancient Edeta, and the Spanish ethnography of Diodorus. Starting from the main settelment, there comes the ploughlands and, thirdly, the territory of war or hunt. This notion is compared to ideas developed by Greek philosophers in order to show the high level of the intellectual process. Lastly, the relationship between territory and society is better understood within the frame of indoeuropean ideological heritage. Then a double hypothesis is proposed about the iconography of "kalathos' plough": for the Iberians it would be an intelectual reflection of the territory where they live, while for the Celts it would be the iconic versión of a panceltic myth about the making of the territory.
