  Las úlceras por presión son un problema muy importante y de gran repercusión en distintos sectores, ya que agravan otros procesos, empeoranla calidad de vida (sobre todo del paciente, pero también de sus cuidadores), prolongan el tiempo de hospitalización, aumentan los costos sanitarios e incluso aumentan la mortalidad.

  Por ello hemos creído de gran importancia realizar, a través de una búsqueda bibliográfica, un análisis de todos los factores que se consideran de riesgo para la aparición de las úlceras por presión, de forma que sea posible la detección de los pacientes de riesgo y, a partir de ahí, plantear un problema de prevención y, si éste falla, un tratamiento, ambos adecuados.

  Presure ulcers are a very important problem with great consequences in different areas because they worsen other processes, deteriorate the quality of life of the patient above all, but also that of his/her nurses, they make the hospitalization period longer, and they increase the sanitary cost and even death rate.

  That is why we believe that by means of an bibliographic search, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of all the circunstances which are considered to be dangerous for the appearence of pressure ulcers so that it is possible to detect patients with this risk and from that moment on, to think out a prevention plan and if this does not succeed, a treatment instead, being both suitable.
