Resumen de Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) herramientas viabilizadoras para el Acceso y Difusión de Información Científica.

  Esta investigación identifica los recursos utilizados para acceder y difundir información científica, con la aplicación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación por parte de los participantes del Doctorado en Ciencias Humanas (PDCH) de la Universidad del Zulia, con respecto a sus labores de docencia e investigación. Para el alcance del objetivo planteado se utilizó la metodología de tipo descriptiva, con un diseño no experimental, bajo un estudio probabilístico y de azar sistemático, con una muestra estratificada en la cual se tomaron en cuenta los egresados y participantes activos de las 7 cohortes que han integrado el programa doctoral hasta el año 2003. Entre los resultados más importantes destacan que los doctorantes a través del tiempo han ido introduciendo las Tic en su quehacer investigativo y de docencia pero que el acceso se realiza mayormente por medio de páginas web y el uso de Cds y para difundir la información se utilizan las revistas científicas electrónicas y los diskettes.

  This research identifies the resources that are used to have access to scientific information and also to divulgate it, with the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) by those researchers that participate as students of the Doctorate in Human Sciences (PDCH) at the University of Zulia, and related to their teaching and investigation activities. To reach the desired goal a descriptive type methodology was used. This included a non experimental design, under the guidance of a probabilistic and systematic chance study, with a stratified sample in which the data taken corresponded to alumni and exalumni of the seven cohorts that have coursed the Doctorate Program up to the year 2003. Among the most important results are that the students of Doctorate Program, through the time of their studies, have been introducing the ICTs in their researches and teaching activities, but the access to these ICTs has been through the Internet, and by means of the use of CDs. The information gathered and the knowledge produced has been divulgated through electronic academical journals and in diskettes.
