Procesos urbanos en La Rioja: Nota bibliográfica

  • Esta aportación se centra en la revisión de dos fuentes manuscritas consultadas en los Archivos Municipal de Logroño (AMLO) e Histórico Provincial de La Rioja (AHPLR). Leis Actas Municipales de la primera mitad del siglo XIX, recogen los acuer-dos del concejo sobre la apertura de calles, construcción de edificios o las diversas medidas tendentes a expandir el núcleo urbano, derribando las murallas de la ciudad. Los Informes emitidos por el Gobierno Civil en los primeros años de Franquismo (1938-1947), aportan numerosos datos de interés sobre la iivienda y el urbanismo en ese perí-odo: los planes de ensanche y alineación, el alumbrado peíblico o la necesidad de trasladar el ferrocarril, cuyas vías se habían convertido en una nueva "muralla de hie-rro" que impedía la expansión de la ciudad. Finalmente, se hace un breve andlisis sobre el desarrollo urbano de Logroño desde 1975 hasta el momento actual, resaltando la gran expansión urbanística de las dos últimas décadas del siglo XX. = This contribution starts from the review of two handwritten sources; on the one hand, the Municipal Deeds qf the first half of~the XIXth century which are kept in the Municipal Record Office qf Logroño (AMLO); and, on the other, the reports that were is sued from the Civil Government of the Province of Logroño during the first years under Franco's rule (1938-1947), and are now in the Provincial Historical Record Office of La Rioja (AHPLR). The ferst ones, report us about municipal resolutions that were connected with the opening of streets, the putting up of new buildings, or the process of knocking down qf the ancient walls of the town in order to enlarge the town plan. The second ones, provide us interesting data about housing and the town planning during this period, the projects of enlargement and new alignments, the street lighting and the removal of the railway that, as a new iron wall, stopped the town enlarging. Finally, it es briefly analysed the town planning development of Logroño from 1975 to nowadays, and it is emphasized the fact that the growth of the town has envolved a large transformation of the country around the town.
