  • Giovanni Pascoli¿s Catullocalvos (1897) is a Catullan pastiche purporting to be a transcript of the poetic game between Catullus and C. Licinius Calvus described in Catullus 50. This article analyzes Pascoli¿s versification, his use of Catullan material, and his implied reading of Catullus
