    En este artículo1 se realiza un análisis de los elementos externos más característicos de las inscripciones de León entre los siglos I-III d.C. y se defiende la necesidad de tratar tanto estos elementos como los internos a la hora de realizar un estudio epigráfico, dada la importancia de ambos para entender el fin último del epígrafe. Como colofón se advierte la existencia de un taller epigráfico en León durante ese período.

    In this article it is realized an analysis of the most typical exter-nal elements of inscriptions from León between I-III centuries A.D. and it is defended the need of treating these elements and the internal ones at the time to realize an epigraphic study, due to the importance of both to understand the last end (purpose) of the epigraph. As colophon becomes aware the existence of a epigraphic workshop in León during this period.
