    Turismo e Historia estuvieron unidos en el principio, y hay muchas razones para que se puedan volver a considerar ambas cosas en conjunto. Lo "distinto" es lo que determina la cultura de cada pueblo, las tradiciones de cada cultura, la personalidad de cada nación. Esto es, en definitiva, lo que el turismo, orientado culturalmente, tomando de cada nación no sólo su clima, sus instalaciones hoteleras o sus condiciones deportivas, puede tener de altamente provechoso para un inter-conocimiento de los pueblos entre sí, para un recíproco respeto y comprensión internacionales

    The author as an active member concerned with the training of tourism technicians, as well as a university professor, indicates a number of view point on ihe close relation between Tourism History and Art not only as a way of contemplattion or simple getting acquainted but as a powerful means regarding the necessary understanding and friendship among the nations.

    History is the cluster of all the human acts everywhere and throug all times.

    History is what happened, what has been done, accomplished irrevocable, irreversible.

    The result of such activities is precisely what we cali culture which content and scope is closely interconnected with the most purified artistic creations.

    Professor Ballesteros particularly stresses the mobilization of a large part of the world inhabitants touring around it eases an approach to History, dispossesing this of the heavy load which represents erudition and data, reaching an understanding, concerning the countries which are the sons of History; we have nither to be their slaves nor shrug our shoulders.
