Desmemoria y rememoración: la guerra y el franquismo hoy

    Este trabajo trata de clarificar el concepto de "memoria histórica" y aplicarlo a las polémicas sobre la guerra y el franquismo hoy. Para ello, en primer lugar (1), se analiza la noción de memoria histórica, se la reconceptualiza como "rememoración" y se la define como activa, cambiante, intersubjetiva, plural, guiada por el presente y orientada hacia el futuro. A continuación (2) se analiza la noción de olvido y se señalan aquellos casos en los que una desmemoria activa resultó políticamente fructífera. Tras ello (3) se vindica la necesidad de memoria de las víctimas. Y, finalmente (4) se aplica todo esto a una reflexión sobre el caso de la guerra y el franquismo en España.

    This article tries to clarify the concept of "historical memory" and use it to analize the Spanish Civil war and francoism. Therefore, in the first place (1) the notion of historical memory is analized, the concept itself is substituted by "rememoration", and is defined as active, intersubjective, plural, present-guided and future-headed. This is followed by an analysis of the idea of oblivion (3) and the mention of some cases in which and active kind of oblivion was politically fruitful. Next (3) the necessity of keeping the memory of the victims is vindicated. And, finally (4) all this is put into practice in a reflection about the Spanish Civil war and subsequent francoism.
