This article deals with the agrarian crisis and the rural exodus in the 20's and 30's in the United States. It analyses the crisis in American agriculture and the rural emigration to the cities and metropolitan areas, as well as the difficult situation of the farmers and the existence of two new groups, the "homeless" and the "jobless" in the big cities. In addition, it explains the initial measures adopted by the Democratic President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and his administration in order to solve the agricultural problem and its effects.
