Resumen de El pensamiento estético del krausismo español y su proyección en la investigación musicológica y la crítica musical

El pensamiento y la acción del krausismo español marcó de manera fundamental la cultura de la sociedad española, influyendo directa e indirectamente en el ámbito musical. La actividad de este grupo humano, formado por intelectuales krausistas y músicos cercanos a este movimiento, muestra unas líneas de acción muy definidas que aparecen ligadas coherente e indisolublemente a su pensamiento filosófico. Analizaremos la aplicación de los principios estéticos y filosóficos del krausismo al ámbito de la crítica musical y de la investigación musicológica, tanto del folclore como de la música culta, restringiendo el estudio al período krausoinstitucionista (1875-1907). Ambos aspectos aparecen estrechamente vinculados con la preocupación krausista por la educación del ciudadano, incluida la musical, que se lleva a cabo a través de la crítica y la divulgación de la investigación musicológica. Escrutaremos como este interés, enraizado en el objetivo krausista de la formación de «hombres nuevos» para lograr el avance histórico de la Humanidad en sociedad armónica hacia su plenitud, enlaza necesariamente con el espíritu regeneracionista español y con la apertura a nuevas corrientes musicales foráneas de calidad, así como con la reivindicación del valor de la cultura musical española y con la búsqueda de un nuevo lenguaje musical nacionalista de aspiración universal.

The thought and the activity of the Spanish Krausism marked in a fundamental way the culture of the Spanish society, influencing directly and indirectly the musical scene. The activity of this human group, comprising Krausists and Musicians close to this movement, shows clearly defined lines of action that are coherently and indissolubly attached to their philosophical thought. We will analyze the application of the aesthetic and philosophical principles of the Krausism to the field of the musical critic and the musicological investigation (related to folcklore and cultured music), restricting the study to the Krausoinstitucionist period (1875-1907). Both aspects appear closely linked to the Krausist considerations about the citizens' education, including the musical education, which is achieved by means of the the critic and the spreading of the musicological investigation. We will scrutinize how this interest -rooted in the Krausist objective of the formation of «new men» to obtain the historical progress of the Humanity in harmonic society towards its fullness, connects necessarily with the Spanish Regeneracionist spirit and the opening to new foreign musical currents of quality, as well as with the vindication of the value of the Spanish musical culture and with the search of a new nationalist musical language of universal aspiration.
