A new record of Goniomitrium seroi Casas in the Iberian Peninsula

  • Goniomitrium seroi Casas is the only Northern hemisphere species of the genus since the other species have an austral distribution; recently a new locality in the Iberian Peninsula has been found. Upon the new distribution data and the application of IUCN threat categories (2001), the proposal of classify this species as Vulnerable (VU) should be considered.
