    Erosion is a highly developed phenomenon today, especially where diverse circumstances of the physical environment coincide and above all where social development is destructive. This is what occurs in the Sierra of the Contraviesa situated on the south side of the Sierra Nevada. All this, given the alarming character shich erosion in a semiarid region like the Sierra of the Contraviesa presents, has been studied in a structural and systematic form and with that end its historical past has been analysed and the remaining phenomena of erosion have been measured: mountanous relief, semiarid climate, poor vegetation, and the easily eroded structure of the soils. The result of all this is reflected in a comprehensive diagram in which the different intensities of erosion appear by zone

    L'érosion est un phénomène très developpé aujourd'hui. Son développement est debu à les circonstances de l'ambiance et l'action destructrice de l'homme. Cet travail analyse l'érosion de la Sierra de la Contraviesa (Sierra Nevada). L'auteur utilise un méthode structural et systématique.
