    Trato de exponer el porqué de la existencia del Derecho eclesiástico del Estado, un Derecho que existe porque existe una Constitución: es decir, antes de la promulgación de la Constitución española nunca se planteó la posibilidad de que el Estado español contemplara en su conjunto el fenómeno religioso, simplemente porque el Estado español hasta 1978 fue confesional y no admitió otro credo religioso que el católico. Por tanto, partiendo de esta premisa, voy a mostrar las razones que justifican que en esta Facultad, al igual que en todas las Facultades de Derecho de nuestro país, se cursen también materias de Derecho Eclesiástico del Estado.

    And that is the reason why today I want to talk about the existence of the Ecclesiastical Law of the State, a right that exists because a Constitution exists; that is, before the promulgation of the Spanish Constitution the posibility of the State contemplating religion in a whole was not taken into account, simply because the Spanish State was confessional till 1978 and it did not admit another credo that the Catholic one; therefore, with this premise in mind, I am going to expose the reasons that justify that in this Faculty, like in all the Law Faculties in our country, subjects concerning the Ecclesiastical Law of the State are also studied.
