  • Manifestation of an upwelling in the SE sector of Alboran Sea Salinity and Temperature data show an small upwelling in the SE sector of Alboran Sea near of Cape Tres Forcas. The bottom topography and cyclonic and anticyclonic circulation gyres in the Alboran Sea seem to be responsible of this oceanographic phenomenon that allows an upwelling of deep Mediterranean water and Intermediate Levantine water close to the african coast.
