    El yo confesional que aparece en el último libro poético de Luis Antonio de Villena (Las herejías privadas) ha creado sorpresa entre los críticos, habituados a considerar la objetividad y ficcionalidad líricas como rasgos propios de la modernidad de dicho poeta. Para eliminar el falso problema de la división entre yoes líricos del pasado poético de Villena y el actual yo confesional de Las herejías privadas, propone este estudio una visión totalizadora de su escritura, considerada como conjunto de manifestaciones distintas (ya sea a través de máscaras líricas, ya sea por medio del propio sujeto real) de una única, poliédrica construcción ética (construcción de un entendimiento personal y de relación con el mundo) a través de una construcción estética (su obra lírica).

    The confessional ego of Luis Antonio de Villena's latest book of poems (Las herejías privadas) has surprised critics, who had come to consider objectiveness and fictionality to be characteristics of this Iyric poet's modernity. This apparent schism between the Iyric ego (Lyrisches Ich) of Villena's past work and the newconfessional ego at Las herejías privadas may be explained by taking a global vision of his work, which would picture his writing as a collection of different manifestations (whether it be through the use of Iyric masks or the presence of the subject) that form one albeit multi-faceted ethical construction (exploring self-knowledge as well as the relationship between the subject and the world) verbalized in an esthetic construct (his poetry).
