    El artículo muestra la participación de las mujeres en las artes plásticas en España durante el siglo XX. En primer lugar, se expone la situación durante el primer tercio del siglo y se analizan las figuras de diversas artistas destacadas en el contexto histórico anterior a la Guerra Civil. Durante los años de la Segunda República y la Guerra Civil, destaca la participación de las artistas en la realización de carteles o ilustraciones políticas. Se observa cómo, tras la victoria franquista, y a pesar de las ideas que las restringían al ámbito doméstico, las mujeres continuaron participando en las actividades plásticas. Finalmente, la producción de las artistas hasta el presente ha evolucionado, enmarcada en los avances en la condición de la mujer en todo el ámbito occidental, aunque no se ha conseguido aún la plena equiparación con los varones.

    The paper displays women's participation in Plastic Arts in Spain in the 20th Century. First it exposes the situation during the first part of century. It reveals some distinguished artists for the period prior to the Civil War artist men. In the years of the Second Republic and the Civil War it shows the participation of women artists in political posters and illustrations pictures' production. After the Franco's victory, and though ideology was constricting them to family life, women continued their participation in plastic arts. Finally the artistic productions of women have evolved in parallel with the advancement of feminine condition in the western world, althongh they hare not obtained total equality with respecto.
