    ln the teachings of Constantine Cyril on ancestral honors, the author finds a message of great importance for the present time and a valid perspeceive for anthropological theology. "the ancestral honors" fit in extremely well with the biblical and Western image of mankind. The oríginality of the teaching of Saint Cyril is in its application in his preaching and his pastoral mission. The original contribution of the teaching of Cyril consists of his consistent application in his pastoral preaching mission. In this main idea, the author finds the origin of Cyril's realization of the unity of all people in Christianity and humanity, the equality of rights of all people and peoples within the family of nations, above all in Christianity and before God. This belief gave him the strength to introduce Christianity lnto the Slavic spiritual area and to create and give shape to Slavic writing and liturgy. The author is convinced that the teachings of Cyril did not end so his times but that his message is topical for our new circumstances and the new relationships in Europe and the rest of the world. This is what the deceased Pope John Paul II wished to emphasize when he announced the sainted brothers Cyril aud Methodius as co-patrons of Europe.

    El A. descubre en la enseñanza de Constantino Cirilo, sobre los bonores ancestrales un mensaje de gran importancia para la actualidad y una perspectiva válida para la antropología teológica. "Los honores erales" corresponden muy bien a la imagen bíblica y occidental del hombre. La originalidad de la enseñanza de Cirilo consiste en su aplicación en su predicación y en su misión pastoral. El A. descubre en esta idea fundamental el origen de la conciencia que tenía Cirilo de la unidad de todas las gentes en el cristianismo y en la humanidad, la igualdad de derechos de todos los hombres y de todos los pueblos dentro de la familia de las naciooes, sobre todo en el cristianismo y ante Dios. En esta convicción encontraron fuerza sus esfuerzos por inculturar el cristianismo en el ambiente espiritual eslavo y para crear y formar la escrirura y la liturgia eslava. El A. esrá convencido de que la enseñanza de san Cirilo no se extinguió en su tiempo, sino que su mensaje es actual ramhién para las nuevas circunstancias y las nuevas relaciones en Europa y en el mundo. Esto es lo que quería destacar el difunto Papa Juan Pablo II al declarar a los santos hermanos Cirilo y Metodio copatronos de Europa.
