  Se estudiaron los niveles básicos de polimorfismo, variabilidad genética y estructuración genética del endemismo canario Matthiola bolleana (distribuido exclusivamente en las islas de Lanzarote y Fuerteventura) mediante análisis electroforético de isoenzimas en gel de almidón. Para ambas islas, se obtuvieron valores moderado-altos de los indicadores básicos de polimorfismo genético poblacional que son similares a los de otros endemismos canarios, pero mucho más altos que los valores calculados para las especies endémicas en general y que los hallados en investigaciones previas para sus congéneres del sistema insular Siciliano. Los valores obtenidos de flujo génico entre las poblaciones de Lanzarote fueron los más altos y mayores que uno. Los altos valores de Fst delatan una clara diferenciación genética entre ambas islas, siendo las poblaciones de Lanzarote más parecidas entre ellas que las de Fuerteventura, que resultaron ser mucho más variables y menos cohesionadas a nivel genético.

  We studied the basic levels of polymorphism, genetic variation and population structuring of the Canarian endemic Matthiola bolleana (that occurs exclusively in the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote) through horizontal starch gel isozyme electrophoresis. For both islands, we obtained moderate to high values of the basic indicators of polymorphism that are similar to those reported for other Canarian endemics, but much higher than the values for endemics in general or than those for their congeners in the Sicilian insular system. The values of gene flow obtained between the populations from Lanzarote were the highest detected and always higher than one. The considerably high values of Fst suggest a clear genetic differentiation between the two islands, with the populations from Lanzarote exhibiting a higher degree of similarity among them than those from Fuerteventura, that were much more variable and exhibited a lesser genetic cohesion.
