  • Resumen
    • Camp is one of the central concepts in gay cultural history and it is notoriously difficult to define. Babuscio´s text was one of the most influential attempts to clarify the link between camp perspective and homosexuality, proposing a precise definition that could be pursued in specific texts. For Babuscio, it is important to establish the connections between homosexual experience and camp discourse. The author situates the “camp perspective” within a network of concepts that includes irony, aetheticism, theatricality and humour, and then illustrates camp perspective in the work of Josef von Sternberg, Fassbinder and the films made from works by Tennessee Williams.
