Un nou humanisme per a una nova era global, ecològica i tecnològica.
Des d'un humanisme dominat per l'home a un humanisme obert [JORDI GIRÓ] En l'època postmoderna que ens pertoca viure, marcada per la desintegració deis ideals de l'humanisme antropocèntric, el qual no és imputable a la tradició judeocristiana, han emergit, pel contrari, models antihumanistes d'entendre la relació de l'home amb el que l'envolta. L'autor es refereix a aquests models alternatius, de caire biocèntric, i que se centren en el cosmos o en els sentits, tot relativitzant el valor de la vida humana. A més, hi destaca el repte que té l'humanisme del segle XXI d'esdevenir un projecte obert i en diàleg amb els altres éssers, introduint una correcta relació entre l'home, Déu i el món. Ens hi servirà recórrer a Maritain i al seu humanisme integral, on l'home acull l'Altre i els altres, i on la naturalesa podrà considerar-se el gran tercer altre de l'ésser humà. Per acabar, l'article conté cinc opcions estratègiques que hauria de prendre el nou humanisme que s'hi propugna i la seva articulació política, pel que fa a la relació home-naturalesa, als conflictes d'interessos que pot haver-hi, a la definició d'humanitat i a la integració harmoniosa deis avenços tecnològics.

A new humanism for a new global era: ecological and technological. From a humanism dominated by man to an open humanism [ JORDI GIRÓ] In the post-modern era that we live in, marked by the disintegration of the ideals of anthropocentric humanism, which cannot be ascribed to the Judeo-Christian tradition, we have witnessed the emergence, on the other hand, of antihumanist models of understanding the relationship of man and his surrounds. The author refers to these alternative models, biocentric in nature, which focus on the cosmos or on the senses, relativising the value of human life. Moreover, he draws attention to the challenge facing the humanism of the 21st Century, i.e. of becoming an open project integrating dialogue with other beings, introducing a correct relationship between man, God and the world. We would be advised to have recourse to Maritain and his integral humanism, where man welcomes the Other and others, and where nature may be regarded as the third great other of the human being. To conclude, the article contains five strategic options that should be embraced by the new humanism proposed and its political articulation, as for the man-nature relationship, the possible conflicts of interest, the definition of humanity and the harmonious integration of technological progress.
