  • During the II excavation campaign at the Torre Zarautz site, the Santa María la Real church bell tower, although the investigation of the interior of the tower was completed, the exterior was not touched. The Early Medieval (XIIIXIV centuries) Necropolis I, made up of simple graves in the earth, was excavated as have been two new levels, the previously recorded XI-XII centuries Necropolis II of sandstone flag typology and the Necropolis III, of a small wall typology. A total of 29 individuals have been located, in a perfect state of preservation, although the funerary items and ornamaents normally asociated with this type of burial graves, were scarce
