  • During July 1999 the V archaeological excavation campaign was undertaken at the prehistoric site of the Iruroin Cave (Mutriku). This time the work centred on the detailed study of the Paleolithic level, both in the exterior and in the interior NW of the excavation. At this level, the end of the Magdalenian, some very interesting finds have been made: flint pieces, harpoons, arrows, animal remains and a great quantity of worked stone remains.
