  • During the month of July this year a second excavation campaign was undertaken at the Mandubi Zelaia dolmen. One sector of the tumulus and the lower burial level in the chamber were investigated. The upper level was enclosed at its base by means of a considerably deteriorated marl-limestone slab and the remains that were recovered in the 1998 campaign can be attributed to the II millennium. The artefacts recovered this year suggest the construction and first use of the burial enclosure as in the Eneolithic period.
