The Atxoste site includes a series of archaeological levels which reflect the way of life of Aziloid communities (VIb), of Early Epipaleolthic (levels V and VIa), of geometric Epipalaeolithic (levels IV and IIIb2) communities and of Neolithic ones (levels IIIb1, IIIa and II)), as well as a brief final episode of the funerary use (level I) of the rock cave with burials. The artefacts from the different levels of occupation show us how and and when the change took place from a predatory to a production economy, a historical process which, at this site, manifests itself without a discontinuity and one which is corroborated by the observations at nearby sites. There are rich finds of stone, pottery and bone artefacts and the occasional effort at artwork can also be observed. There are some structures related to fire use and the occasional item of portable art & craft. Also observable are structures related to combustion and building structures
