  • This, the first, season of excavations at the Praile Aitz I Cave (Deba), was carried out at its entrance hall as well as at the horizontal surface outside the cave mouth. The stratigraphy, both exterior and interior, does not allow us to differentiate, for the moment, successive fertile levels, apart from that the recovered industrial material and animal remains probably correspond to some, as yet unspecified, period of the Upper Paleolithic.
