The archaeological excavation of Igartza Forge, located in the town of Beasain and built in 1782, uncovered one of the best conserved examples of the last series of forges built in the Basque Country. During this first season, the two coal stores and the workshop were excavated. The workshop still contained the wooden and stone bases of the bellows and the large hammer with its shaft.
