  • The 2002 excavation season in Axlor focused mainly on the study of the stratigraphic sequence of the site.

    To this end, the protective fill-ins of previous excavations have been removed and sections of the trench and open areas corresponding to previous interventions have been regularised. The field work carried out has enabled experts to understand the stratigraphic ordering of the different levels and to pinpoint some of the diachronic changes in the behaviour of the human groups which occupied the area.
