  • The Old Urezbero Cemetery is located in the Elkano district in the municipality of Aia. The site is situated on an east-west slope at 195 metres above sea level. The main aim of this season’ s excavation work was to assess the site and identify the different levels of occupation and remains. W ork was carried out in two zones using the stratigraphic method. Among the various stratigraphic units found were two types of potter y, one of the common un-turned type from the Roman era and another one which bears no similarity to any other findings. Excavators also found metal and lithic remains and as well as evidence of land conditioning.
