  • A couple of sondages were carried out in the area immediately outside the mouth of the cave in front of the stone wall, and another was carried out behind the said wall. Perhaps due to its current state of conser vation, inside the cave itself no clear evidence has been found of occupation by a large number of people, such as the Carlist battalion which is supposed to have taken refuge there.
